Participation in Band Camp is mandatory for all incoming and current band students. It is imperative that all band students attend camp for the band program to be successful. We will be performing our marching show, stand tunes, and brigade music at the first football game.
Lunch will be from 11:30am to 1:00pm everyday. Please bring a sack lunch. If you wish to leave campus you must provide a written letter of permission from your parents in order to do so.
Please bring a water jug filled with ice. It is essential to stay hydrated in order to deal with the Texas heat. You will be given water breaks every 15 minutes while outside. We will not have the new Kempner Band Water Jugs yet, so new students please bring something until we have them.
We will be wearing white T-Shirts during all outside rehearsals. It is okay if the shirts have writing or logos on them, but the fabric must be all white. Wearing all white gives the students a uniform look making it much easier to clean drill and apply uniform techniques.
Band fees are $250 for returning members and $310 for new kids. These fees pay for meals at contest, props, additional instructors, transportation and a myriad of other items necessary to have a successful band program.
